Don't be a holiday repeat

Just like with finding the right gift, it’s important to find the right outfit. There are many trends to choose from right now, as always, so mix and match for diversity. And with all the parties that have already come and gone, make sure to keep it fresh. You might see the same people.

This year, black is dressed up with sequins and metallic accents. A splash of silver or bronze can really highlight the right area and be very flattering. On a recycled dress add your own flair. A sash tied just right, a broach to draw attention, or a flowing scarf could do
the trick in a pinch.

When wearing all sequins, also go for opaque tights and fabulous boots for a killer effect. You will be showing exactly what sexy looks like. The key here is to keep your silhouette in mind. Your lines should all be smooth and your sparkles twinkling evenly.

You can also dress up a plain black dress or pant suit with velvet. Try on a velvet blazer for a simple, yet dressy look. The colors that
are out are so much fun! Or, rock velvet leggings. You will be warm and look hot.

Lastly, this is the one time you will hear me say forget the stilettos! For fun’s sake complete your look with cute flats or boots. Your feet will thank you, in most cases, and there are just as many styles to choose from. It is much easier to be merry when you are also comfortable.
