Look on the bright side
For the fall and weather season the drab colors are phasing out as the bold hues hang in there from spring and summer. The bright trend is a reflection of people and their hope.
Rich tomato reds, soft pinks, mysterious purples, bright blues, and fresh citrus hues are all the rage. With so many to choose from it is hard to know which way to go.
You can make a visual impact with juicy reds. From passionate scarlet to flirtatious cherry, stop light to crimson, and everything in between, red shades modernize your look.
For those who are not willing to go red, consider orange. All citrus colors are hot, but orange is a leader and for good reason. Not too bright, not too pale, just right.
Or break out the electric blue from last season, because it is in again. Turquoise is also a major contender for the favorites list, along with deep teals of all shades.
And purples are on the rise in the deep, mystic shades. They pair beautifully with pink and blue alike; and since layers are the key in the winter and purple is a fabulous layering color.
If earthy is your thing and you are true to it, then go with shades like sage, tan, olive and beige. These hues all have a mineral feel to them and are very natural.
But in cosmetics and fashion alike subtle rose pink is the “it” color of the season. It has the feel of fuchsia and the femininity of pink. It is the ideal contrast color for winter wardrobes everywhere.
And these all work as a great accent colors, because a little goes a long way. Choose a bold piece (sweater, belt, bracelet, etc) and wait for the compliments.
