Black absorbs all light in the color spectrum. So, from black, all colors originate and spring up to create the lively rainbow.

Think of the way we use black in language. Blackout, black market,black tie, black belt, etc. Much more than sadness and death that is so typically thought of.

Psychologically black makes use feel inconspicuous, restfully empty, and full of potential or possibilities. In the right doses, black could be good for you.

Black can be authoritative and powerful. And in fashion, black is sexy, sophisticated, and formal. Not to mention slimming; which definitely deserves to be mentioned.
