Know yourself first

There is a lot of time and effort put forth in looking our best, both sexes included. And the funny part about this fact is that the top two things you can do to appear confident and attractive come from the inside; in other words, it should come naturally.

To start, simply be yourself. I know this is most definitely easier said than done. But, once you are comfortable in your own skin, you will look your best with ease. Just because something looked awesome on that woman, or man, at the restaurant does not mean it is going to flatter you as well.

Most likely, the two of you do not share the same body type or size; so, the clothes won’t fit the same. If you like an outfit on someone else, use their great taste as inspiration and then give it your own twist! You should always look comfortable in your clothes and feel like you belong in them.

Then, work on improving your posture. Bad posture could possibly be one of fashions' worst nemesis. Even the best executed outfits are not flattering at all on a slouchy body. Strengthen yourself. The first step is to pull back your shoulders and pull in your stomach, like sucking your navel to your backbone.

You will appear 2-3 inches taller and 10 pounds slimmer instantly. Once you have that down, keep going. Strong abs help keep you belly pulled tight, running is great for slimming down, and resistance training is the trick to toning (especially the arms).
